You are invited to come with us. . .

Experience England's greatest portrait masterpieces in a six-day deluxe study tour to London. Join us as we pay a personal visit to the de László family in their private apartment, filled with Philip de László masterpieces. Richard Ormond, grand-nephew of John Singer Sargent and leading Sargent authority, will meet with our group. We will visit the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, The Royal Academy of Art, and Windsor Castle. Personally conducted by John Howard Sanden and Elizabeth Sanden. Space is limited.

his is the Great Portraits Tour we have always wanted to lead. No stuffy museum tours, no idle sightseeing — only the exciting portraits we love and are eager to study. Each morning, before departing on the day's itinerary, we will gather in the hotel to learn about the masterpieces we will see that day. In the museums we will go directly to the portraits that are important to us.

Richard Ormond, great-nephew of John Singer Sargent and leading Sargent authority, will give a special lecture about his great kinsman. Damon de László, grandson of Philip Alexius de László, the world-famous portraitist and successor to Sargent, and Sandra de László, Chairman of the de László Archive Trust, will welcome our group to the private de László apartment, filled with that master's works.

We will visit Windsor Castle to see the exhibition of portraits by Sir Thomas Lawrence. We will pay a visit to the home and studio of Frederic, Lord Leighton (President of the Royal Academy 1878-1896) preserved as an exquisite museum.

We will enjoy the traditional English elegance of Durrant's Hotel (five nights' accommodations). We have planned this trip to be the dream trip we always wanted to take, and we invite you to be among the small group who will enjoy it with us!
